“Радвам се, че трансферът ми в Майнц е факт и че следващият етап от развитието ми като футболист ще бъде в един от най-силните шампионати в Европа, какъвто е Бундеслигата. Също така за мен е много важно, че този трансфер удовлетворява и моя роден клуб. Желанието ми беше да остана в Ботев до зимата и съм щастлив, че това се случи. Сега искам да се съсредоточа върху представянето на Ботев в първенството. Амбициран съм да помогна с каквото мога на клуба, който ми даде път във футбола. Не искам да говоря за следващия си отбор, има време до преместването ми в Германия. На дневен ред сега е Ботев и предстоящите мачове от шампионата.”
